Berry Tasty Winesicles

There's only four days left of summer, so in my last efforts to soak up every bit of sunshine this summer has to offer, I've decided to go out with a bang and make some home made berry winesicles.

What you'll need:
-1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
-1/2 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
-1/2 cup water
- 1/2 white wine, like a Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio
-2 teaspoon honey
-Popsicle tray

*If you prefer the taste of wine, skip the water all together and add 1 cup of wine.

I chose one of my new favorite's, Millbrook Tocai Friulano which was just recently awarded Best Wine in the Hudson Valley at the Hudson Valley Wine Festival.

Start by putting your berries in a blender or food processor until there's a smooth consistency.

Taste to see if you like the sweetness, if not add a dollop of honey and blend again.

Once your fruit is chopped up a bit, add the water and wine a little at a time to thin out the berries.
Once you have the desired consistency, carefully pour your mixture into your popsicle tray and freeze for at least 4 hours.
After your four hours are up, hold the popscicle tray under some running water to loosen up a bit and enjoy.

What are some of your favorite ways to enjoy the last days of summer?
